A 35-year-old Ramesh Gupta and 30-year- Mahendra Mallaha had tried to burn 65-year-old Indian citizen Shisu Dhunwa from Suddhodhan Rural Municipality, Rupandehi on Sunday night around 11 'o clock. Accused Gupta and Mallaha were under alcohol consumption tried to burn Dhunwa when he was sleeping, police said. Dhunwa was taken to the Lumbini hospital immediately after the incident. He sustains burn in his back but the situation is normal, police said.
Dhunwa has gone missing the next day of his admission in the hospital. The hospital has claimed that the Dhunwa ran away during the treatment stating that he does not have any money neither relatives to pay for his treatment. While the locals have accused police of his disappearance in order to save the perpetrators. Locals have demanded a fair investigation of the case. Police have said that both accused are under control for the interrogation.
