Area Police Office Belbari has arrested two persons on the charge of setting fire on their own micro-bus.
On Tuesday night, a micro-bus with number plate Ba 3 Kha 8074 was torched by unknown group at Masan Chowk, Gramthan-5, Morang. With the help of locals and fire brigade, the fire was controlled at 11:30 pm.
After investigation it was found that fire was set by bus driver Shambhu Karki, 48 years old from Manthali-5 and conductor Dinesh Baruwal, 25 years old from Likhu-5.
After preliminary investigation, police said the duo had torched their vehicle to pay back loan with insurance and other compensation they get. Police are further investigating on the incident.
