Cadres of Nepali Congress student wing Nepal Student Union (NSU) have beaten a journalist in Sundarharaincha of Morang on Friday morning. 

A group led by NSU regional chairperson Homnath Pokhrel beat journalist Nikesh Baral while he was taking photographs of NSU cadres demonstration before Sukuna multiple campus on Friday morning. 

Baral, who is a reporter for Belbari based Ujyalpradesh dot com sustained injury on his head and hand from the attack. He was later rescued by other journalists. 

Nikesh reported that, a group of 5-6 men led by Homnath Pokhrel deliberately attacked him after finding out he was a journalist.
