The Rashtriya Janata Party has demonstrated in Bhairahawa demanding the citizenship by descent to the children of those who possess citizenship of Nepal by birth.

The party had earlier withdrawn its support to the government over the same row. The demonstration, which started from Hanuman Temple culminated at the gate of the District Administration Office Rupandehi passing through Piparhiya Chowk, Gallamandi, Milanchok, and Main Road.
