Cadres of the Janamat Party burned the effigy of President Bidya Devi Bhandari in Siraha and Parsa on September 21 after she refused to ratify the citizenship bill on September 20. The Madhesh-based party alleged that the refusal of the president to ratify the citizen bill was unconstitutional.
