Five days after he went missing, Subil Badayak, 19, of Krishnapur Municipality, Kanchanpur, was found decapitated today morning.
Senior Inspector Dil Bahadur Kunwar of Raikawar Bichuwa Area Police Office said Badayak’s body was found in Nyura Khola located at Lambachaddar of Krishnapur. The body was half buried and the head was severed.
Police surmised that Badayak might have been buried after being murdered. Police have arrested three persons, including a young girl on the suspicion of involvement in the murder. The arrested are Shibani Rana, 16, Ayodhya Rana, 18 and Pramod Rana, 18.
Badayak had gone to Kaluwapur of Raikawar Bichuwa to attend a wedding party on April 11. He had gone missing since then.
Locals found Badayak’s blood-stained t-shirt in a field today morning.
Irate locals then staged protest and chanted slogans. They encircled the police post and burned the tyres.
Police found Badayak’s body on the banks of Nyura Khola. The body has been kept at Mahakali Zonal Hospital for post-mortem. Police have launched an investigation into the incident.
