Students Torch Govt Vehicle

Students staging agitation against the price hike of petroleum products have torched a vehicle of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) near Kalikanagar of ButwalN.P.12 on February 2.

 

The agitating students set fire on an NEA jeep plated Ba 1 Jha 2345, Rameshwor Karki, Inspector at Butwal Area Police Office said, adding that the vehicle was damaged as students set fire on it by sprinkling petrol.

 

The government vehicle was ablaze as those using it did not obey as it was being used for a marriage ceremony, ANNFSU central member Baburam Panthi said, adding that the agitation will continue until the government withdraws its decision to hike the prices of petroleum products.

 

Service seekers were affected as the agitating students staged a sit-in protest in front of NEA office for an hour starting from 10 am.
