A youth from Duhabi Municipality-7 in Sunsari has committed suicide after the ward office refused to recommend him citizenship. Police say that Hari Mandal, 22, committed suicide. Hari Mandal had frequented the office of ward office seeking a recommendation for citizenship. Gita Devi Mandal said that her son committed suicide after he was humiliated at the office by the head of the ward, Madhav Bahadur Bhandari. 3 generations of the Mandal family had been living in Duhabi.  Hari's elder brother possess Nepali citizenship certificate by virtue of birth.
