Lalitpur Police has arrested a woman on charge of kidnapping an elderly on Friday.
Anima Bhujel of Sindhuli, currently residing in Dholahiti, had abducted Krishna Chaudel of Imadole Friday morning.
Bhujel called Chaudel, an acquaintance, at six in the morning to meet and kidnapped him. She brought him to Dholahiti and called his daughter demanding Rs 200,000 in ransom, according to the police.
Chaudel’s daughter complained to the police after Bhujel’s ransom call. A police team led by DSP Kapil Bohora had gone to Dholahiti for rescue after that.
Chief of Lalitpur Police SSP Rabindra Dhanuk told Setopati that the team rescued Chaudel after around two hours. Bhujel and her friends have been arrested by the police.
