74-year-old Santumaya Sunar of Besisahar municipality-3 lodged a complaint of caste discrimination against 30-year-old Raju Rana at ward police office on May 12 accusing Rana of labeling her discriminatory terms.

According to Ward chairperson Surya Kumar Shrestha, the elderly woman filed the complaint saying that Raju used discriminatory and derogatory words at her during a dispute related to land between the two. He promised to take proper action against the accused after proper investigation into the incident.
