A man sustained critical injuries in a khukuri attack at Dhadingbesi in Nilkantha Municipality-13, Dhading, on Saturday. Prakash Timalsena sustained injuries on his back, arm and thigh when a motorcycle-borne man assaulted him with a khukuri, police said. The victim claimed that Chandra Gurung of Nilkantha-14 attacked him. Preliminary police investigation showed that Timalsena was attacked because of a dispute over the formation of a consumers’ committee to construct road in the area. (PR)
