A woman has been killed in an attack by a thief in Gaushala of Mahottari. According to Sub Inspector Balbahadur Majhi of Area Police Office, Gaushala the deceased woman has been identified as 30-year-old Anju Kumari Shrestha.
A thief had entered Shrestha's house at around 7:30 pm. The thief stabbed her in the chest after she she shouted for neighbour's help.
She was taken to Primary Health Center Gaushala after being seriously injured by the stabbing. She died at Janakpur Zonal Hospital where she was transferred for further treatment, said police.
On receiving the news of the incident, a police team from Kantibazar and Area Police Office Gaushala reached the site of the incident and have started investigation into the incident.
