Coordinator of Online Media Sudarsan Budathoki said that the editor of Salleri News, Dinesh Basnet, was attacked by a group of locals on June 20 at Lokhanthali of Bhaktapur while collecting news.
Budathoki informed about the incident in a press conference at the Reporters Club. He demanded investigation of the incident and action against the culprit.
Basnet has sustained serious injuries in the head and other parts of the body from the attack. He has been admitted for treatment at Annapurna Neuro Hospital in Kathmandu.
According to Coordinator Sudarsan Budathoki, one of the persons involved in the attack is arrested but others are still on a run. According to Budathoki, he has an audio record of the attack.
