A 13-year-old girl of Kharang2 has been raped by her relative on January 30.

According to area police office Chainpur, Ganesh Bahadur Adhikari, 30, raped daughter of his sister-in-law after taking her to a field 200 meters away from her home.

ASI Mahind Bhandari said that medical test of the victim was held at the district hospital Khandbari on January 31. Police found a cap belonging to Ganesh and the victim's t-shirt from the site.

The victim has been admitted to a primary health center for treatment while the accused Ganesh is at large. Police said that legal action would be taken against Ganesh after filing a case of rape. Police added that a team had been mobilized to arrest the accused.
