The Dalit activists protested against an incident of racial discrimination in Dhurkot Rural Municipality-5.
Dalit associations and rights activists protested against an incidents of caste based discrimination at Jestha Nagarik Diva Khaja Sewa Kendara and Kalika Temple which is being run by the Public development center.
10 organizations working on the issue of caste based discrimination, including Dalit Common Forum issued a statement regarding the incidents on June 24.
The protest started on June 12, at the Diva Khaja Sewa Kendra, in Diva Khaja Sewa Kendra, as people were not willing to clean plates in which the senior citizens from the Dalit community ate. Where as, on June 18, the priest of Kalika temple refused to put the tika on the forehead of Dalit children and instead put it separately on a piece of leaf.
