The ward office of ward no 6 of Geruwa Rural Municipality of Bardiya was torched by a group led by Biplov on Monday. Fire destroyed the finance department of the office. According to the police, they also torched two rooms in the office. Police Inspector Khem Bahadur Malla was seriously injured when the roof collapsed while extinguishing the fire. 

Injured Malla was sent to Nepalgunj for further treatment, said DSP Madanjit Mahara. According to DSP Mahara, pamphlets of Bheri Karnali Bureau affiliated to Chand were found at the incident site. Policemen and armed police have been mobilized. DSP Mahara said that they are searching for the accused. The site is located 5 km north-west of Gulariya.
