A group of people burnt down the effigy of Upendra Yadav, the chairman of the Samajwadi Party and the deputy head of the federal government and the Minister of Health and Population, in front of Gajendranarayan Singh's Statute in Tilathi-Koiladi Rural Municipality on July 16.
Upendra Yadav is a member of the House of Representatives from Saptari-2. The local youths accused Upendra Yadav of not coming to his constituency in the time of crisis and betraying the constituents. They lamented that Yadav has not come even once, during the recent floods, which has submerged the Tilathi-Koiladi Rural Municipality.
Meanwhile, Satish Singh, the chairperson of Tilathi-Koiladi village council, has termed the protestors as 'cockroaches'. "How could Deputy Prime Minister come when he is abroad?," said Satish Singh, the Chairperson elected from Rashtriya Janata Party(RJP).
