Biplav-led CPN cadre injured in Dhangadhi explosion under police custody

DHANGADHI: Police have taken into custody Laxman Serela who had been injured in a bomb explosion in Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolitan City of Kailali district.

On July 18, an explosive device had gone off at a local hotel near Shahid Gate in the district headquarters. The bomb exploded while it was being carried by Ram Singh and Laxman Serela, both affiliated to Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led Communist Party of Nepal (CPN).

Singh lost his life during the course of treatment on the same night the incident occurred while Serela had been under treatment in Maya Metro Hospital.

After receiving treatment for 18 days at the health facility under police watch, Serela was taken to the District Police Office under custody on Monday for investigation and action.

Five persons, including Singh and Serela, had been injured in the explosion.
