Police have made public chief of Janatantrik Tarai Mukti Morcha chairperson Ranjit Kumar Jha, 29, alias Rajan Mukti amidst a press meet organized at the District Police Office on November 27. A resident of Laxmipur Bagewa VDC-7, Mukti was arrested at Thori VDC-5 in Parsa on November 17. According to police, Mukti was involved in 12 incidents of murder, 1 explosion, 7 murder attempts and 2 incidents of robbery. SP Uttam Raj Subedi said that JTMM had owned up all these incidents where 21 people were killed and 47 injured. He added that preparations were on to charge Mukti under organized crime act. He further said that only one case under the act had been lodged before.
