Police, on September 6, arrested 37-year-old Kamal Sarumagar of Gulariya Municipality-3 on the charge of threatening and abusing 37-year-old Bhabhuk Yogi, the Secretary of Bardiya Federation of Nepal Journalist Federation of Thakurbaba Municipality-3.
The victim filed a complaint, on September 2, at the District Police Office and District Administration Office, Bardiya demanding protection and legal action against guilty who had threatened to kill him via phone on September 1.
DSP Ram Shankar Kohar of the District Police Office, Bardiya, said that the accused Kamal had accepted that he had called Yogi.
Secretary of the Federation of Nepali Journalists Federation Bardiya, Rajendra Prasad Dhital, said that the accused should be punished and be brought in legal framework.
