Police arrested seven Indian citizens on charges of mistreating the police of Police Station Mahadevpatti.
According to the police, a team of police led by Pawan Kumar Jha, Assistant Sub-Inspector, were attacked by a group of Indian citizens riding on bikes, one bearing Indian plate number Bihar 22 J 2090 and one without a plate number, while they were checking the vehicles at Jirabhawani Rural Municipality-1, Mahadevpatti, Jagatiya.
The arrestees are Sanjit Kumar Patel, Shani Kumar Patel, Birinchi Singh, Satyam Sahu, Dhananjya Kan, Sandeep Kumar Patel and Alok Singh of Maunatad Thana-1, India.
The arrestees, who were coming from Thori Rural Municipality Suwarnapur consuming alcohol, have been accused of manhandling the police while they were being checked.
The arrestees were sent to District Police Office, Parsa for necessary investigation.
