Police have made public Bhagat Singh, the chairperson of the underground group, Janatantrik Tarai Madhes Mukti Party (JTMMP), at a press conference on November 30. A special police team sent from the Sukhet-based Mid-Western Regional Police Office had caught Singh in Rupaidiha of India’s with the help of Indian police on November 29. Singh is accused of several bombings, extortion and murders in Banke, Bardiya and Dang among other districts, DIG Rajendra Singh Bhandari told media persons. Singh had formed the JTMMP under his leadership in 2009 and started underground armed activities. Singh had gone underground after handing over arms to the government as part of the peace process two years ago. The group had agreed on forging an election alliance with the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Loktantrik. B
