32-year-old Chandra Khadka of Bhojpur Municipality-12 Amtek has been denied the right to perform his father's funeral rites for marrying a Dalit girl. Khadka who was preparing to go to Qatar for foreign employment went back to his home town Bhojpur from Kathmandu after hearing about his father's death.

But when Khadka reached his hometown he was denied from participating in his father's funeral rite with his brother Sammar Bahadur Khadka citing his marriage with a Dalit girl.
