42-year-old Dulari Devi East of Kanchanarupa Municipality-1, Birba has filed a domestic violence complaint on November 6 against brother-in-law Shankar Purve and his wife Anita Devi in Saptari District Court.
The victim said that the complaint was filed in the District Court for justice after no action was taken on the complaint which she had filed on October 22 at ward office of the ward no-1 of the Kanchanarupa and the Area Police Office, Kanchanarup.
The victim said that the accused had been assaulting her physically and verbally because she does not have a male in her house.
The victim's husband Surendra Purve is in Qatar and his son Suraj is in Silgadhi, east India for foreign employment.
She said that the complaint was filed in the court after the local level and police did not take any action for one and a half months.
