Family members of 3 students studying in grade 4 in Samyak Sikchhyak Primary school in Dharan Sub-metropolitan City-17 have accused 27-year-old Dipa Shrestha, a teacher at the school of injuring the students by beating them for sharpening pencils in class.
According to DSP Dhundiraj Neupane of Area Police Office Dharan, the students underwent a medical check-up at a local clinic.
The teacher, Shrestha has denied beating the students. The principal of the school Saroj Shrestha acknowledged that Shrestha had made a mistake and she would not repeat the mistake in future. The school agreed to bear the medical expenses of the injured students.
No formal complaint was lodged in connection with this incident.
