52-year-old Padam Bahadur Oli and his wife, 45-year-old Jayanta Oli, of Shantinagar Rural Municipality-2, filed a complaint against 63-year-old Kamansingh Dangi and his son, 38-year-old Biraj Dangi, of the same location for assaulting them for voting Nepal Communist Party (NCP) instead of Nepali Congress (NC) in the by-election.
The victims filed a complaint at the Area Police Office Tulsipur on December 1. The couple sustained injuries in the head, eyes and various parts of the body, and were treated at Rapti Regional Hospital Tulsipur on December 1.
Dangi conceded that his son had pushed Oli as Oli was being raucous after being inebriated but denied the allegation about the physical assault. DSP Hariharnath Yogi said that the investigation is underway about the assault after alcohol consumption.
