Mahottari/December 13 Shiya Devi, 40, of Shripur VDC-2 has filed a complaint against Ganesh Yadav, 16, of Aurahi VDC-2 at District Police Office on December 13 accusing him of child marriage with her daughter, Sarita Kumari Yadav, 15. Saying that Ganesh had eloped with her daughter twice in the past, Shiya Devi said that she was currently living as his wife at his home. She said that when she tried to bring the girl back telling Ganesh and his family that the marriage could not be sanctioned as both of them were minor, she was insulted. Registering the case, DSP Rajendrababu Regmi said that it was a child marriage and that police would take legal action in the case.
