Jan 1: An unidentified group planted an improvised explosive device at Pipira-based Ncell tower in Birendranagar, the headquarters of Karnali province.
A bomb disposal squad of Nepal Army has been mobilized to defuse the IED on Wednesday morning, according to Senior Superintendent of Police Dilli Raj Pant. "We are launching a probe into the incident," Pant told Republica Online.
Officials suspect the involvement of the cadres of outlawed Netra Bikram Chand-led Nepal Communist Party (NCP) for planting the IED.
