Police have arrested Laxmi B.K, 28 and Devi B. K, 23 on 6 January for the charge of murdering their mother-in-law Kaushila B.K, 76, of Ishma rural municipality-3 Darlamchaur on 2 January.
The accused duo had planned of looting all her jewelries for which they had beaten her mercilessly. Complaint was filed against them on 6 January by Kaushila’s husband Sher Bahadur B.K at the District Police Office.
The victim was taken to Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal for treatment. She died during the treatment procedure on 5 January, informed Min Ghale, DSP of District Police Office. The body’s postmortem was conducted on 6 January at the District Hospital Gulmi.
