Four persons including two police constables were injured when a youth resorted to a rampant cleaver attack in Bhaktapur.
Responding to report of a sharp weapon attack and two injuries in Pipeline of Bhaktapur Municipality-20 a police team reached the site of the incident. 20-year-old Ram Bahadur BK of Nalgadh, Jajarkot attacked police with sharp weapon when police tried to arrest him. Police constables Jitendra Yadav and Tol Bahadur Shrestha of Metropolitan Police Circle Byasi sustained injury in the attack.
Others injured in the incident have been identified as 60-year-old Bhunamaya Thapa of Kamalbinayak and 45-year-old Rajmati Jakibanjar. She was sent to Chhauni Army hospital for further treatment from Madhyapur hospital.
According to information officer inspector Panchalal Gole, BK also broke the windowpane of a police van bearing plate number Ba 2 Jha 185.
Police have arrested BK and are further investigating the incident.
