Jalu Nepali, 45, of Baligau VDC-2 has filed a complaint against her husband Sete Nepali, 50, at the Police Post Mangalsen on January 1 accusing him of injuring her by pouring hot lentil over her. The victim stated in her complaint that her husband had poured hot lentil over her left hand on December 25 for not keeping rice from the previous day. She filed the complaint after Sete, who had left home after the incident, returned on December 31. Inspector Narayan Giri of the Police Post Mangalsen said that Sete was arrested from his home following the complaint. According to police, the victim underwent treatment on January 1 in the District Hospital. The victim informed that her husband had attacked her with axe and sickle and left her injured previously. She further said that he poked her with a hot iron rod. The accused used to be released after expressing commitment not to inflict any torture upon his wife.
