An unidentified group has set fire to 3 motorcycles parked in the house of a Nepali Congress leader in Parwanipur, Parsa. The fire broke out in 3 motorcycles on Sunday night in a motorcycle parked in the verandah of Kishori Thakur of Parwanipur in Birgunj metropolitan area of ​​Parsa.

The fire completely destroyed three motorcycles (Na 10 Pa 8554, Na 32 Pa 1828 and Pradesh 2-0-3005 Pa 7863). The wall of Thakur's house was damaged by the fire. Abhishek Thakur, the nephew of Thakur, said that an unidentified person sprayed petrol on the veranda of his house and set it on fire on Sunday midnight at 12.

Police have arrested Thakur's neighbour Rajaram Yadav on Monday on suspicion of arson. Arriving at the spot on Monday, Parsa Superintendent of Police Ganga Pant said that they have arrested a man for questioning.

Police arrested Rabindra Mandal, a resident of Gandhi Mandal, a resident of Patelnagar, Birgunj-4.

Mandal is alleged to have set fire to the house of Kishore Thakur, a resident of the same place. A few days before Holi, three motorcycles on the verandah of Thakur's house were set on fire at night. All three motorcycles were destroyed in the fire and Thakur's house was also damaged.

Police have registered a case on the subject of criminal activity and further investigation is underway, said Superintendent of Police Ganga Pant.
