Police have beaten Zakir Hussein, a journalist affiliated with New 24 in Birgunj on March 25. Police beat Hussein on the evening of March 25 while he had gone out to report news related to lockdown against coronavirus in Birgunj. Police also detained Hussein into custody for 3 hours and released him only after a group of journalists led by FNJ Parsa president Shyam Banjara contacted Ward Police Office Shripur.
