Police torture man to make him confess theft

Police allegedly tortured Maniklal Pandit of Barju Rural Municipality-5 to make him confess to stealing. Injured Pandit is receiving treatment at Golden Hospital in Biratnagar. He has sustained injuries in his cheekbones and legs.
Deep Narayan, Parshuram, and Lalagi Pandit along with Maniklal went to Area Police Office Barju on Sunday after the police called them to question them about a missing water pump. The police then beat the men to make them confess the theft.
