Kanchan Jha of an NGO, Sano Paila has accused the Lalitpur CDO of being unwilling to rescue a girl placed at the Happy Home orphanage in Dhapakhel. Jha said that while three inmates of the home were rescued, the CDO Shahi Shekhar Shrestha had allowed the fourth girl, aged 14 at the Orphanage operator, raising questions on his intension. The girl is asking for help to get out of the house and that one of the orphanage operators, Bishwa Pratap Acharya is being charged with child trafficking. When asked, CDO Shrestha said that the girl was left at the orphanage on her own will and that the girl will be rescued in a day or two.
