Local representative accused of caste based discrimination in Panchthar

37-year-old Bir Bahadur Uparkoti of Hilihang Rural Municipality-5 accused 65-year-old Laxmi Prasad Suhang, Ward Chairperson of Hulihang Rural Municipality-7, of abusing him verbally on the ground of caste during a meeting on May 20. Uparkoti said that Suhang Ward 7 chairperson of Hilihang Rural Municipality did not allow him to take part in the meeting held to discuss the building of the ward office.
