Caste discrimination is in rise in Butwal. Landlady Maya Ghimire from Butwal, Devnagar, Agnipath ward-11 refused to rent a room to Mithu Pariyar after the victim disclosed her caste. Two empty rooms were there post Covid 19 situation in each flat however landlady denied Pariyar's request for a room . Pariyar said that she will continue to fight legal battle until she gets justice. The perpetrator Ghimire did not pick up the phone when she was contacted. When the victim and human rights activists had reached her house to find out about the incident she had  run away from home.
