Kaski, dwandkaalma bhandaar gariyeko vishfotak padarth fela. Police have recovered a cache of explosives at the Majhthar Cliff of Swara VDC-6 in Gorkha district on March 12. DSP Ramesh Thapa informed that the police searched the area of the cliff near the village after getting information that the children were finding the explosives hidden in the area and that they had been playing with them. He said the recovery, made with the aid of local villagers, included 701 pieces of detonator cape, 300 meters of wire and nearly 10 kgs of sulfur. Thapa said that two boys were injured on March 11 when they were trying to set off six/seven detonators at the same time. The injured boys, Sachin Baram, 12, and Gyam Bahadur Baram, 11, are being treated at Bir Hospital. DSP Thapa added following the incident, the locals were given risk education. He suspected that similar kind of explosive could have remained stored at other neighborhoods and VDCs too. Maoists had conceded that the place was used as a shelter by their cadres and that they left behind the explosives mistakenly when they removed the shelter.
