Devilal Upadhyaya and Tej Bahadur Rokaya's buffaloes have been snatched by Indian nationals while they were grazing buffaloes in Jhilmilaphanta of Beldandi Rural Municipality-5 on the Nepal-India border.

According to the victim Upadhyaya, the Indian citizen of the Sardar community took the buffalo by tying Upadhyaya's hands and feet with the rope and turban. They had beaten the old man saying that he had brought buffaloes to India for grazing. However, they had grazed buffaloes on Nepali soil.

Upadhyay said that three of his buffaloes and two of his neighbors' buffaloes were taken away by Indian nationals. He said that three or four Indian nationals came and took away the buffaloes while he was returning home on Monday evening.

He said, 'I am at home after treatment at the local hospital.'

The Armed Police Force (APF) deployed in the Beldandi border area has informed the Indian Armed Border Security Force (BSF) about the incident. Yogendra Bhandari, in-charge of the Armed Police Force Beldandi BOP, said that they will be searching for the culprits after discussing the incident with the SSB. "Indian security personnel are also concerned about the incident. We have pressured them to find the culprits and return the buffaloes of Nepali farmers," he said.
