Demonstration staged demanding abolition of federalism in Banke


Lumbini, Banke, Nepalgunj

Rastriya Prajatantrik Party Women's Organization staged a demonstration in Nepalgunj of Banke on Monday, chanting slogans for the restoration of the monarchy and against federalism. 

The protest rally that started from Charwahini Road in Nepalgunj reached Tribhuvan Chowk via Bheri Hospital Road, Sadarline in Nepalgunj, and turned into a corner assembly. 

Claiming that federalism is not for Nepali land, the speakers warned that if federalism is not abolished, the seeds of division will be sown in the country. The speakers also demanded that the monarchy should be restored as the monarchy is an essential institution for Nepal. 

The slogans of the protest rally were: Arrange for women-friendly quarantine, end corruption, take action against the corrupt, stop violence against women, increase the scope of PCR test, take action against the perpetrators of rape in the quarantine, compensate the victims.

At a time when the risk of corona infection was increasing even the minimum social distance criteria were not observed at the rally.
