A protest was held in support of Prime Oli in Butwal.

The pro-PM Oli demonstrations was held in the wake of recent political developments wherein PM Oli is being asked to step down from his post at the ongoing Standing Committee meeting, alleging him for working to fulfil his personal interests.

They demonstrated with placards saying that the government was doing historic work in many areas along with nationalism and that the government should not be toppled and the party should not be divided.

The rally participants chanted slogans in favour of continuity of the Prime Minister’s tenure and were of the view that now is not the time to topple the government.

Participants carried placards with slogans such as "Stop the Foreign Interference’, no overthrow of the government.

The protest was attended by former UML youth from a group that favors Prime Minister Oli, as well as some former Maoist youths.
