Police have arrested Ajam Halwai (30) and Chand Babu Halwai (32) of Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan-3 on 3 July 2020, in accusation of beating journalist Tekendra Bashyal (30).

Bashyal had gone to collect news related to domestic dispute and the accused duo had beaten him and also destroyed his camera, informed the victim to INSEC’s representative in a phone conversation.

The victim had verbally informed about the incident to the Ward Police Office but hasn’t given any written complaint, informed the victim.

According to Inspector Hati Basnet, the accused were arrested for further investigation.
