The ANNFSU and the National Youth Association of Nepal (NYAN)  affiliated to NCP (Nepal Communist Party) staged a sit-in at the NCP office in Butwal on July 9 against the ongoing protests in support of PM Oli and handed over a memorandum to Nandi Kishore Dhakal, a party office member from Province 5 to put pressure on the party leadership to maintain unity.  They claimed that PM Oli called them to Baluwatar take to the streets in his defense. They demanded street demonstrations should be stopped as they are individualistic and against party's method. Student-youth leaders supporting Oli were not present at the event.
