35-year-old Sharada Pokhrela of Hulas Tol, Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolis -2—Member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists(FNJ) Bara, and reporter of Thaha Khabar and Palkhabar—was abused on July 12 for writing news about Shrestha Builders regarding its inability  to pay the revenue amount on time. The victim was verbally abused by 45-year-old Lal Shrestha, 36-year-old Dhan Bahadur Shrestha, and 39-year-old Nepal Communist Party (NCP) candidate for Ward Chairman Imran Khan in the office room of Chief Administrative Officer Baikuntha Nidhi Sharma.

The Bara branch FNJ has demanded action against the accused in a press release on July 13.
