The girl was displaced following mistreatment by her grandfather and some relatives of her village one week ago. She is kept in the shelter house of Women and Children Rehabilitation Centre based in Diktel. The victim faced neglect by her grandfather and other relatives leading to her displacement. She was handed over to relatives on March 24 after she was raped by her father on February 12, 2014. Samiksya Niraula of the Rehabilitation Centre said that efforts were being undertaken to rehabilitate the girl after her relatives had not created a suitable condition for her rehabilitation. The accused has been remanded in custody by the District Court order on March 11, 2014.
