Assistant Health Worker Singh Raj Giri was attacked by a group of local youth-led by Keshar Bhat of Budhinanda Municipality 6 on the pretext of treatment on Sunday night. Giri sustained broken right arm in the attack during his duty in the emergency room of Kolti Primary Health Center in Bajura.
The police have arrested 3 attackers and brought them to the District Headquarters Martadi. Health workers have demanded protection and action against violent actions towards all the health workers and have indefinitely shut down all services at Kolti Primary Health Center except emergency and maternity wards. Head of Kolti Primary Health Care Dr Rajuraj Jaishi informed that Giri is undergoing further treatment in Nepaljung.
