District Police Office Lamjung arrested four persons on August 2 for abusing and alleging 27-year-old Bishnumaya Tamang of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality-8 of practising witchcraft.

Witch-doctor Ram Prasad Gurung of Syangja Bhirkot-9, 65-year-old father-in-law Gore Bahadur Tamang, 62-year-old mother-in-law Kaurimaya Tamang accused the woman of performing voodoo on her sister-in-law Aash Kumari Tamang August 1. The accused were arrested after the victim filed a complaint, said Ganga Bahadur Thapa, the DSP of  District Police Office Lamjung.
