Police assaulted a 32-year-old journalist of Thaha Khabar Media Network Dhanusha, Santosh Yadav of Janakpurdham Sub-Municipality Ward-1 on Friday. Yadav was beaten while he was reporting the incident on vandalism at Navajiban hospital.
According to the journalist of Khojtalas.com, Shivendra Rohita, an eyewitness to the incident, police seized the mobile phone of Yadav alleging he had filmed the incident and broke the screen. Rohita has also accused the police of beating him.
DSP Makendra Mishra of the District Police Office, Dhanusha said that all the teams would be called and investigated and action would be taken against them if they were found guilty.
Journalist Yadav is undergoing treatment in Dhanusha Hospital.
