Sangkhuwasabha/April 23 District Administration Office has released five people, held on charge of threatening a journalist, Suren Shakya of Khandbari FM, on bail of Rs 5,000 each on April 23. The accused were identified as Raj Kumar Pariyar of Khandbari Municipality-10, Ekraj Rai of Yaphu VDC-1, Tikaram Rai, Manikala Rai of of Yaphu VDC-4 and Tek Bahadur Rai of Diding VDC-2. The station had aired a report on arrest of 78 people on charge of being involved in networking. The accused had issued death threats to the journalist at his work station on April 11. They were arrested under Public Offence Act, the next day.
