A woman has been beaten in Javad Tol of Samsi Rural Municipality-7 in Mahottari of alleging her of being a witch. According to the locals, the woman was beaten by Dinesh Yadav, his sons Krishna Yadav, Aashiq Yadav, mother Sujiya Devi and others on Friday night.
According to the victim's son, the injured woman is undergoing treatment at Janaki Health Care in Janakpur.
Krishna Yadav, who was involved in the incident, was arrested by the police on the night of August 21 but the victim has alleged that he was released on the same day due to political pressure.
